Park Board Information


Duties & Purpose

To provide sustainable and creative programs and partnerships for the Community of Upper Providence.


Mission Statement

The Upper Providence Park Board is an appointed committee that supports the Parks and Recreation Department in enhancing the quality of life for the residents of Upper Providence and neighboring communities. The Park Board will assist with the following:  
  • Provide and maintain a well-balanced system of active and passive park sites, trails and recreational facilities
  • Implement yearly park, stream or open space clean up days with the community
  • Protect Open space and preserve the natural resources of the Township
  • Be the eyes and ears of the community and assist the Park and Recreation Department with said knowledge of what programs, events and needs the community is seeking.

Meetings

  • 6 p.m.
  • 2nd Wednesday of every month
  • Township Building
