Summer Camps

We are excited for our summer camps this year!  Check out the links below for more information about each camp!

Day Camps:
Camp Black Rock
Six fantastic action packed weeks of outdoor fun! There will be three 2 week sessions.  You can register for any or all of the sessions.  We will enjoy sports, games, and arts & crafts in the outdoors.


Specialty Camps:

Bricks 4 Kidz
Cruisin' the Jungle Camp (July 18th-22nd; 9am to 12pm) 
Come explore the jungle using LEGO Bricks in our BRAND NEW Cruisin' The Jungle Camp! During this week long adventure down the Amazon River, campers will hop in the Jungle Boat Cruiser to search for the secret Tree of Life.  On the way, they will encounter all of the wonders, dangers, and surprises the wild jungle has to offer! Campers will have to navigate around the chomping crocodiles of the river, sneak past the indigenous tribes protecting hidden treasures, and make friends with the animals of the jungle like gorillas, elephants, and much more! So pack your adventure bags and treasure maps, and get ready to explore this summer in our Cruisin' The Jungle Camp! 

Mining & Crafting Camp (August 8th-12th; 9am to 12pm)
Mining & Crafting the Bricks 4 Kidz Way! Calling all MineCraft fans! Whether your chicken is crossing the road, spiders have invaded your mine, or zombies are on the loose, this fun camp takes MineCraft to a whole new level with lots of LEGO Bricks and inspiration from the popular game to build on and a full week of learning fun - the Bricks 4 Kidz way!

Jump Start Sports
College Days (June 13 - June 17)
Have a blast learning about and playing a wide variety of college sports including flag football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, and more. Campers will make a school pennant and t-shirt and wear their school colors to demonstrate school spirit. 


Ultimate Warrior (June 27 - July 1)
Looking for a fun fitness challenge? Age-appropriate and safe activities specifically designed to challenge, inspire, and excite. Games and tasks include obstacle courses, relays, tug-of-war, and much more designed to teach cooperation and teamwork.

Mad Science
NASA – STEM Explorers (June 13-17)
Think and act like NASA innovators during this hands-on program inspired by the NASA OPTIMUS PRIME Research Challenge (NASA OPSPARC). Use creative and collaborative skills to design a mission patch, train like an astronaut, build a Mars rover and solve real-world engineering problems. How might space suit cooling tubes be used to solve a problem here on Earth?
 
NASA: Journey to Outer Space (June 13-17)
Take a voyage of discovery into the atmosphere and beyond as we explore planets, moons, and other space phenomena. Build your own Mad Science rocket and participate in a real NASA style rocket launch!  Create a kitchen comet and bring home lots of cool NASA take homes!  Mad Science is the ONLY organization licensed by NASA to use these activities for Summer Camps!
 
SAL: Funky Forensics (August 8-12)
Focus on the science of forensics in this hands-on look at crime scenes. Identify and collect evidence, from fingerprints to tracks to trash! Recreate the scene of a crime using clues and detailed observations. Use science to connect the dots and help sniff out the suspects in this hands-on investigation into the science of sleuthing!
 
Radical Reactions & Detective Science (August 8-12)
Become a skilled science sleuth while investigating the role of chemistry at the scene of a crime! Learn about chemical reactions as you grow crystals, use dental alginate to make fabulous finger molds, create sidewalk chalk from scratch, design chromatography bandanas to take home, and even make your very own ice cream!
 
Wild World Conservation (August 15-19)
Enter the world of Wildlife Conservation! Become inspired by the adventures of various Conservationists from around the world and experiment with different Crayola® projects and a wide variety of art techniques! Dive undersea with Jacques Cousteau to create a dancing jellyfish, storm the Serengeti with Guy Western and mold your own lion sculpture. You’ll get to know the world’s largest mammal with David Shepherd and create an elephant silhouette, adventure to the Arctic with Mardy Murie and create your own polar bear model, and countless other adventures! This camp is good for all ages as each child creates their own individual project.
 
Artist’s Passport (August 15-19)
With a passport in hand, campers will embark on an around-the-world cultural adventure. We will explore far-off places and learn about the people who live there, from the Americas to Polynesia, from the cosmopolitan to the countryside.
Children will  experiment with unique Crayola® products, while trying art techniques developed by local artists and artisans. Campers will create Chinese Rattle Drums, Polynesian Masks, Pakistani buses, Aboriginal Dot Art and more!  Children will bring their unique creations home and build a globally-inspired art gallery. This camp is good for all ages as each child creates their own individual project.

Skate the Foundry
Skateboarding Camp (August 15-19, 9am-12pm) 
Skate the Foundry is offering a fun new camp this summer in August.  All skill levels are welcome to attend camp. Camp will be offered from August 15th through August 19th from 9 am to 12pm.


Theater Camp
Did you ever want to get a taste of what it's like to be in the spotlight or learn what goes on behind the scenes of a on stage production? Theater camp offers an inside look and first hand experience on how the theater works!  Campers will also get to perform a production for all their friends and families!
